I can't speak for what all DJ's do on their days off but I do believe that we are all a like in regards to the humanity. As a young man and DJ I would spend most of my time hanging with friends and trying to stay plugged into the scene. I would go to other establishments that I didn't work at to check out the style of the DJ spinning. This observation didn't just happen at other business it happened everywhere I went! I was a sponge always watching and listening to what "People" were listening too. From coffee shops, to weddings, to sitting in my car at a stop light. If music was in the air then I was like a moth drawn to the flame!
As I have aged in the years and have experienced more time on this journey we call life my priorities have shifted. I still try to stay up on the current music scene but I have found it harder and harder to keep up with the sound of today's artist. Instead of always on the hunt I have matured not only in my DJ style but also in my personal life. Now the father of 4 when I am not working, coaching, or spinning music I try to spend that time with my family. From playing hide go seek in the house to swimming in the pool I try to enjoy as much time with them as I can.
I hope you enjoyed reading a little bit about my life. I suppose I need to add blogger now as well! Until my next post enjoy life and the ones you love and never stop hearing the beat!
